David Jones

David has over two decades of experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, with particular expertise in shareholder disputes, commercial conflict, and complex advisory work for SMEs and entrepreneurial businesses.

Alongside his practice background, he has extensive experience in building and scaling law firms within a group environment, including post-acquisition integration, operational development, and the creation of commercially aligned legal structures designed to support long-term growth.

He also plays a leading role in shaping the group’s legal talent and integration strategy, bridging legal delivery with wider professional services collaboration across the UK platform.

David takes a long-term, structural view of the UK legal market, shaped by consolidation across mid-market firms and increasing demand for scale, succession solutions, and investment-led growth models.

In 2025, he co-founded ONE ETL, a strategic initiative designed to strengthen integration, alignment, and collaboration across the ETL GLOBAL UK legal platform, supporting a more connected and cohesive multi-disciplinary group structure.

He is also a co-founder of the ETL GLOBAL Future Stars programme, an initiative focused on developing the next generation of talent across the group by identifying, supporting, and accelerating high-potential individuals within the professional services environment.

His ambition is to continue expanding the UK legal business through selective acquisitions and deeper integration across professional services disciplines, building a scalable, future-ready model aligned with how modern SME clients increasingly access legal, tax, and advisory services.

In his early years, David fronted a band, an experience that helped develop confidence, presence, and communication skills that have stood him in good stead throughout his legal career.
